An early 19th carved coquilla nut snuff box, with a hinged cover carved to depict with a scene of merriment. A man plays a wind instrument, while a dog appears to dance between, he and his wife. While the reverse is intricately carved to illustrate a man with his rifle hunting rabbits in a forest further enhanced with another rabbit and wild boar. Each of the two ends have been artfully carved to resemble a rose like flower.
